Lemon and iris start Assaf Frankel Blackout. The lemon is sharp and clean, while iris adds a cool, powdery, slightly rooty softness that rounds it. In the heart, violet carries the powdery theme forward, basil contributes a green, herbal freshness, and vetiver brings an earthy, grassy dryness. The middle of the scent is restrained, green and powdery rather than fruity or sweet.
Cedarwood leads the base, with amber, vanilla and musk around it. Cedarwood is dry and clean, musk is soft, and amber and vanilla add a sweet, warm glow that contrasts with the cool opening. The style is a fresh, powdery, woody scent with a sweet amber finish, and the clearest contrast runs from the lemon at the top to the vanilla underneath.
