Lemon and iris share the opening of Assaf Frankel Aventus. The lemon is sharp and clean, and the iris lays a cool, powdery, slightly earthy softness over it. Violet carries that powdery thread into the heart, basil adds a green, peppery herb, and vetiver brings a dry, grassy depth, so the middle is greener than the start.
Amber, vanilla, cedarwood and musk close the scent. Amber is warm and resinous, vanilla is soft and sweet, cedarwood is dry and pencil-like, and musk smooths the edges. Overall it moves from bright and powdery to herbal and woody and then to warm, with the centre of gravity in the green heart.
