What does Assaf Challenge smell like?
Bergamot, sage and pepper give Assaf Challenge a bright, herbal and peppery start. The heart is gentler and more floral, with rose and jasmine joined by tea, which adds a light, slightly tannic, leafy tone. The shift from sharp and herbal to floral and tea-like is clear, as soft petals are set against the pepper's bite.
At the bottom are guaiac wood, styrax and incense. Guaiac is smoky, tarry and slightly sweet, styrax balsamic and leathery, and incense adds a dry, resinous haze. The style is aromatic and smoky-woody, with the floral-tea middle acting as a bridge, and the weight lies in the resins and woods at the bottom.
Who is Assaf Challenge for?
Herbs, tea and smoky woods give Challenge a composed, slightly formal character. It is listed for men, and the shop tags it for autumn, spring and winter, and for daily, special and work, which suits a working day or a more dressed-up occasion.
