What does Assaf Boom Blue smell like?
The opening of Assaf Boom Blue puts crisp fruit next to cumin. Pear and apple supply the juicy side, and cumin cuts across with a warm, earthy, slightly animalic spice that keeps the fruit from being simple. The heart turns resinous and floral: labdanum is sticky and ambery, orange blossom white and sweet, patchouli earthy. A darker, more balsamic middle follows the fruit.
Vetiver, amber and sandalwood form the base, dry, warm and woody. Vetiver gives grassy, earthy dryness, amber a resinous glow and sandalwood a creamy smoothness. With the patchouli and labdanum in the heart, the scent reads as earthy and amber-woody, with a fruity front and a sizeable resinous middle that carries much of the weight.
