A cool, spiced fruit trio begins Assaf Hook Blue: cardamom, bergamot and pear. Cardamom is cool, spicy and slightly camphorous, bergamot is bright, and pear adds a soft, watery fruit sweetness. The heart changes direction. Lavender is aromatic, patchouli is earthy, and cumin adds a warm, dry, savoury spice that gives the middle some bite.
The base is dry and natural: sandalwood, cedarwood and vetiver. Sandalwood is creamy, cedarwood is dry and crisp, and vetiver is earthy and grassy, so the finish is clean and woody. The style is an aromatic, spiced, woody scent with fruit and citrus at the front, and the contrast lies between the light pear and the dry timber below.
Hook Blue is an aromatic scent of spice and wood with a fruity lift at the top. Lavender and cardamom give it a herbal, cool side, while patchouli, cumin and the woody base give it a drier, deeper one. The list holds no obviously sweet note beyond the pear, so the feel is dry and clean rather than sugary.

Assaf Legend has orange blossom, clove, amber and tonka bean where Hook Blue has pear, patchouli, cumin and vetiver. The notes they share are cardamom, bergamot, lavender, sandalwood and cedarwood.
Assaf Frankel Ascot would be the next step if you like cardamom, bergamot, lavender, patchouli and vetiver in Hook Blue: it brings grapefruit, ginger, blackcurrant and pineapple instead of pear, cumin, sandalwood and cedarwood.
Next to Assaf Wild Colt Boss, the shared part is bergamot, lavender, patchouli, cedarwood and vetiver. The rest differs: pink pepper, mint, green apple and white suede there, cardamom, pear, cumin and sandalwood in Hook Blue.
