Saffron, lavender, cinnamon and apple make a busy top for Assaf Alex Enable. Saffron and cinnamon bring spice, lavender adds a clean herbal note, and apple gives juicy, slightly tart freshness. Rose and cedarwood follow in the heart, the rose petal-soft and the cedar dry and straight, so the sweetness of the opening is steadied by wood.
Oud leads the base, dark, resinous and woody, with musk, sandalwood and amber around it. Sandalwood adds creaminess, amber warmth and musk softness, which rounds off the sharper edges of the oud. The style is spiced and woody-amber, with oud and amber doing most of the talking and rose as the one clearly floral voice.
No wearer is named for this one. What the notes show is a spiced, woody and resinous character with an apple-and-lavender brightness at the start, which could suit anyone drawn to oud and amber who still wants a lighter, fruitier opening to lead into them.
