What does Assaf No Comment smell like?

Spice rather than fruit opens Assaf No Comment. Pink pepper is bright and slightly rosy, cardamom aromatic with a cool edge, and bergamot keeps a little citrus in the mix. The heart is resinous and smoky: incense gives a dry, church-like smoke, and myrrh adds a bitter, balsamic depth that makes the middle of the scent dark and serious.

Vanilla and patchouli bring sweetness and earth to the base. Vanilla rounds the resins into something warmer and creamier, while patchouli adds a dark, earthy weight. The style is spicy, resinous and warm, a smoky-sweet balance in which the incense and myrrh supply the darkness and the vanilla stops it turning austere.

Who is Assaf No Comment for?

Evening and special occasions are what the shop tags it for, along with autumn and winter, and it is listed as unisex. Those who enjoy dark, resinous scents and do not mind a trace of sweetness are the likeliest fit for spiced incense over a vanilla base.
