Mandarin softens bergamot's bitterness at the start of Assaf Charisma, giving a bright, slightly sweet citrus top. Clove and violets follow in the heart, a contrasting pairing of a hot, sweet spice and a cool, powdery flower. The clove brings warmth, the violets soften it, and the citrus top acts as the bridge between them.
Oud leads the base, with musk, amber and patchouli around it. Oud is dark and resinous, patchouli earthy, amber warm and musk soft. Read together, the pyramid is a spiced floral on an oud-and-amber foundation, so the style is warm and dark, with the powdery violets as the one soft spot in the middle.
