What does Assaf Attacks smell like?
Assaf Attacks has a short pyramid: spices at the top, vetiver in the heart, amber and patchouli at the base. The spices open with warmth and a little dryness, and vetiver follows with a grassy, earthy, slightly smoky character. Because there are so few notes, the step from spice to vetiver is easy to follow.
Amber and patchouli underpin everything. Amber is warm and resinous, patchouli earthy and a little sweet-damp, and both pull in the same dark, rooty direction as the vetiver. The style is dry, earthy and warm, with an amber glow around a green-woody core. In such a compact structure the centre of gravity falls on the vetiver and patchouli.
Who is Assaf Attacks for?
Spice and vetiver combine into a dry, grown-up character with restrained sweetness. Attacks is listed as unisex, and the shop tags it for autumn, spring and summer, and for daily, evening and work, which should please wearers who favour green, woody scents over fruity or floral ones.
